Our Mission
We are an inclusive, safe, and affirming community of believers seeking to share the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord
ALL ARE WELCOME!
Just like a home needs a warm, welcoming vibe, our church is all about creating that safe space for everyone. We’re here to share God’s radical love and make sure you feel it too! So, whether you’re seeking a spot to worship, connect, or just be you, look no further.
Join us for Worship on Sundays and experience the difference. Let’s spread kindness and inclusivity together!
We invite you to join us in Prayer!
Mark 11:24 – Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Worship Services continue on ZOOM
Our Maximo Church and School buildings, with the exception of the Church Office, suffered extensive damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. We will worship IN PERSON in the Church Office and on ZOOM this Sunday.

We humbly ask for your help!
We are asking, if you are able, to use our online donation link to contribute to the Maximo Hurricane Recovery Fund. We face a major deductible in our insurance coverage and other expenses related to this crisis. We deeply appreciate your help and financial support.

Hurricane Recovery Commission Update
November 15, 2024
Thank you once again to all who came out the last few Saturdays to clean up the church grounds and make them look absolutely beautiful once again. The insurance claim process is ongoing. The insurance adjuster has requested additional photos of the church contents prior to the hurricane damage. If you have photos of our church before the hurricane, please share them by sending them to the church office email address. The FEMA claim is being reviewed. The cleanup and sanitizing services have been completed. We are waiting for quotes from general contractors to restore the brick and mortar buildings. Our goal is to use insurance proceeds to at least restore the sanctuary, bathrooms, and narthex to their pre-hurricane condition. The Alegria Montessori School is interested in using modular units on Maximo’s campus, but there are permitting challenges that need to be resolved. We plan to continue holding worship services in the church office space. The space, while small, is friendly, warm and welcoming, and meets our needs for such a time as this. Please join us on Sundays at 10 a.m. Our Hurricane Recovery Commission will hold our next meeting on November 18, 2024.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance assesses Hurricane Helene Damage at Maximo
The Presbyterian Disaster Assistance came to Maximo on Thursday, October 3rd, to assess the storm damage and walk alongside us during this difficult time. Rev. Dr. Holly Dillon, our beloved Presbytery Executive, and Rev. Bill Wildhack, our capable Stated Clerk, who is also the former co-pastor of Maximo, accompanied the PDA. We appreciate being seen in our suffering! Maximo will rise again!

“The Way of Discipleship”
Loving God thank you for the challenging and beautiful way of discipleship. Give us the courage to follow you faithfully, to love inclusively, and to serve generously. Help us to find our lives by losing them in service to you and others. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of all our hearts be acceptable to you oh God, for you are our Rock and our Salvation. This we pray in the name of Jesus Our Risen Lord. Amen!

A FAST meeting was held Wednesday, August 28th at Maximo Presbyterian Church. Pastor Bobby’s Sermon “The Bread of Life: Our Sustenance in the Storm” based on the Gospel of John 6:24-35
Out of an abundance of caution, the Maximo Presbyterian Church Worship Service on Sunday August 4, 2024 was cancelled as Tropical Storm Debby approached. While we were unable to gather together physically, Pastor Bobby wanted to share some words of comfort and encouragement during this time. Watch and listen to the reading of the Gospel and Sermon recorded by Pastor Bobby as the rains fell and the wind howled outside.
